Christmas time is here?Posted: November 15, 2012
The day after Halloween there was at least one house fully decked out with outdoor Christmas decor. Now there are about five. I’m visually offended.
A couple of days ago I walked into my local shopping centre and it was decor and music and signage and TOO MUCH.
I am planning on buying very little for Christmas this year. Essentially, a gift for each of the kids and helping Santa with some stocking trinkets. The reasons are a general hate for mass consumerism and a general state if being broke.
I’m not sending out Christmas cards or photos in the mail. People who I will actually spend time with will probably get hand delivered photos of the kids and a little note from me.
I’m really happy about this. Is feels so good to disengage from the BUY BUY BUY.
