Tardy Slip

Today is Brent and I’s third wedding anniversary.  We both booked the day off work to have a normal adult child-free existence while Bobby is in day care.  Things we have planned:

  • a fancy lunch at Play
  • going to a couple specialty food shops
  • checking out the hospital lottery’s Dream House
  • making a very involved lasagna for dinner
  • none of your business

Also, today I’m supposed to write out Bobby’s monthly report.  It’s a great one this month however about half of the mega cute photos I took are trapped on my work computer so what I"m going to do it post it tomorrow and backdate it to today.

SCANDALOUS

On this day:

In 2008 – Bobby’s 4 month update
In 2007 – a list of yummy food
In 2006 – Got married
In 2005 – went insane with the updates

    Congrats!!!!
Is Brent still a stay at home, artist dad? I recall you writing something to that effect once, but, haven’t heard updates about it or photo illustrations.
I know two “only kids” whose fathers were freelance artists and the primary caregivers during their childhood, in the 80’s. They are in their 20s, ones female the other male, in a relationship together and both are professional artists. Amazing young adults all around. Anyway, was curious if that is how Bobby is being raised and if so, what Brent feels about the process.

Brent works from home as a Facilities Manager and travels for about 3 days a month for his job. He does have a band that plays gigs and he plays instruments around the house A LOT but that only brings in enough for about 3 bottles of wine a year.
I wouldn’t peg Brent as the primary care giver since Bobby is in day care while I’m at work (with a FANTASTIC vegetarian cook-from scratch be outside 365 days a year Finnish woman) but he takes care of the morning routine completely and does his share the rest of the time.
