What’s Up Duck?Posted: November 2, 2008
So naughty_bride has been here all week and went home today and we did some hanging which was AWESOME… I think the funnest night was maybe Halloween.
Also I’m angry with Halloween. We had MAXIMUM 15 kids. I remember when I was a kid the streets were swarming with kids going from house to house. What happened to that? I know a few kids bypassed our house because I was not successful with my last minute pumpkin shopping adventure but STILL!!!
Are people afraid to let their kids go to strangers’ houses? Why don’t they just escort them?
Bobby dressed as a turtle. He only trick or treated family/friend houses because I wanted to show him off and he doesn’t eat candy so real trick or treating would be pointless.
Here is a photo.
We also hung out with Matt and Jess a couple times this week. They got a new kitchen and a new kitten and I’m jealous of both. I like Jess more and more each time I see her (not that I didn’t like her at first or anything like that) and I’m jealous of her job awesomeness and so I suppose I have a (no longer so secret) platonic girl crush on her.
In exciting/nervous news. We are going to Burlington Vermont in 2 weeks and to Toronto the week after that and I’m stoked to go but I’m also very nervous for the logistics of going for a 5-ish hour drive with Bobby. Hopefully we can time it with food/nap to only have to make one stop for feeding him. I have to find my passport…. Also I’m bringing the stroller and it takes up most of the trunk so that’s interesting isn’t it?
Brent wants me to buy some Clitter….
On this day:
In 2007 – A year later and I’ve only accomplished the first two things on my to-do list… why organize cupboards when you are hoping for an all-new kitchen???
In 2006 – I discovered LOLcats and do the log driver’s waltz
In 2005 – the good old days when I didn’t eat everything I saw
